Clothing:When she openly was a princess. then she dressed like one. Her dresses and robes were simply beautiful and were made to make her shine and to make her desirable. She was just made to be pretty. Now that she is a traveler, in their for her cold narnia, she dresses in beautiful dresses. Or rather she thinks they are beautiful. They were given to her by the archenlander family who saved her. And she wears a cloak. She looks like a normal traveler is you just look at her plainly. She could pass as a telmarine but unless no one specifically asks her were she is from she just lets them think that.
Overall appearance:When the men that her brother invited looked at her they all whistled. It took her a while but it appears that that is some sort of man code for beautiful, pretty whatever. She , like all calormen woman, has a dark tan and dark hair. The thing that sets her apart are her eyes. Which are blue. She is of normal height and slender, even thin. But she surely has curves. She has very long legs and normally her face has quite a friendly expression.
You wouldn't believe us if we told you, sir.
Family situation:After the so called mysterious death of her father (though most people in the high ranks of the new tisroc know why) of her father the tisroc her brother Zelgai took the throne as tisroc of Calormen. She is the youngest child and she has another older brother Ajani. Her mother died years ago when she was three when they were expecting another child. Of course her father had many other woman but he never remarried and she never called anyone else her mother.
Father: Sindo - Dead - Former tisroc of Calormen
Mother:Muna - Dead
Siblings:
Zelgai - 24 - Tisroc of Calormen
Ajani - 20 - Prince of Calormen
Extended Family: They are all over the land, she doesn't know them or see them that much
Full History:Seventeen years ago it was announced all over the great land of Calormen that her majesty Muna wife of Tisroc Sindo had given birth to a daughter. She had two older brothers one who was seven at that time and one who was three. She always like Ajani better then she liked Zelgai. Calormen now had it's first princess. Of course two years later her mother died. She was trusted into the capable hands of a Nurse who indeed was a wise and old woman who guided her until she was twelve.
Her nurse died happily in her sleep and by now she could take care of herself. The little princess had taken an interest in something. Which was not at all appropriate for woman of her culture. She was supposed to be quite obedient and beautiful. She loved storied and history. Thank god she had one, still unknown to her, friend. The son of the daughter of her nurse worked at the palace as well. The daughter of her nurse worked at the palace to she just had a whole different function.
While her old nurse had taught her how to read he gave her access to the best books in the whole palace, since he worked at the library as a young historian. He was fifteen at the time and his name was Lirim. She doesn't know what happened to him. Anyway a few days after her sixteenth birthday (the day she had been fearing because her father and brothers could now find a suitable husband for her and she had no say about it) something else happened that was far more awful. Her father died. Of course everyone knows that this was because of food poisoning (some idiots even think that it was done by the barbarians of the northern lands). But she and some other high ranked people know better. Her eldest brother zelgai murdered him.
Zelgai of course took the throne and why everyone went (the tisroc Sindo is dead, may he live on forever, long live the new tisroc Zelgai) she didn't. She didn't like her brother because he had been awful to her before, he wasn't exactly a true brother. The only thing she did have as a calormen princess was that she was taught how to fight, the only woman in the whole country. Why because the wife for Tash was a warrior. And since her father, brother and herself were direct descendants of him she needed to know. Anyway her brother took the throne and he forbade her to see anyone or to even come out of her room. Except when a possible suitor came.
it went like that for a year. Thank god Lirim found her way into her room every now and them. One day she was stunned when he told her that she would get married (rather he blew up on her because she didn't tell him). He helped her escape the palace and gave her instructions that would and could bring her safely to the northern lands. It was an old passage, very old but it was the only way to survive the desert. And so she escaped. She had some of her jewelry with her and some of her cloths.
Unfortunately her travelers weren't safe. She was caught by traders. Slave traders that was. Thank god she had learned how to fight but she didn't get out of it unharmed. She had several wounds who later turned to scars. Thank god she arrived in Archenland where the people were a whole lot friendlier. They saved her practically. After they helped her she helped them, taking care of some of the children telling stories. Helping were she could. But after she turned seventeen she left again. For Narnia and everything that laid there.
I wished you'd all stop acting like grown ups
Full Personality:Layla has been from the start of her life a rather curious being. She wants to learn and she wants to move on. She wants to see new things and this goes directly against what was expected of her as a woman. She stands up for herself when she can but she has seen so many things happen to herself and other woman when they do that that, naturally, she has become a bit afraid to do that. She mostly keeps things to herself, there is a sense of mystery around her because she gives to little away about herself. She is a bit naïve in the sense that she tries to be optimistic all the time and believes in stuff like, truth will out, good will win, knights in shinning amour and stuff like that.
At least we know that some of you can handle a sword
Rp-Sample:
Her long black hair was bound together. She was riding on her horse, one of the few things she had left of her home. Her home if that was what you could call it now a days. She had hated the past year there. No she had hated it every time she came face to face with her older brother. She could go all whiny and cry about how her brother treated her how she never actually had a family but really no one was supposed to know who she was. One of the stories she had read was the story of Prince Rabadash. Or rather Tisroc Rabadash the peacemaker. Honestly that was his official title but everyone knew it was only that he didn't do any fighting because he couldn't get out of the city. Calormen probably wasn't something Narnians associated with good things. She didn't escape a possible horrible future to gain one here.
And so she went trough life as a storyteller and traveler. Her family has been killed long ago because her father went to war and her mother died in child labor. It was possible, she knew, and that is why no one asked questions. The only thing that did worry her were the rumors that she had heard. She was worried that some of those things might be true. She liked the lands here and she didn't want to leave because of a war. She knew that she wasn't safe because she had no home. Well she could go back to archenland and she knew she'd be welcome. But Archenland was to close to calormen. Besides she had brought the people there in to much danger as it is.
